The Kingdom of God

TKC Ministries     Leon Hagins         6/13/2011

I often wonder if other people think about the kingdom of God , as often as I do. There is not a day that goes by , where I’m not thinking about God and his Kingdom. Just think how different things would be if everyone did so. Sure I work, drive an automobile, pay bills, pay taxes, go to the store, go to the doctor’s office, etc. , etc.

I have feelings, and emotions, just like everyone else. But throughout the course of the day, the good Lord is on my mind. And although there are days that can be stressful , and just down right bad, I always think about The Lord God Almighty, and his mighty Kingdom from everlasting to everlasting.

Psalm 145:13 - Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations

Daniel 4:3 -

How great are his signs! And how mighty are his wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation. ( This was a proclamation given by King Nebuchadnezzar , after God delivered the three Hebrew boys from the furnace of fire. Daniel chapter 3)

In the verses below, from the book of Daniel , ‘Finis Dake’ points out (Dake’s bible pg. 1461 letter m ) that 3 times in this chapter , it is pointed out that the saints will rule the kingdoms of the world after the antichrist’s kingdom.

It also states, 3 times , that the kingdom will be eternal.

(Daniel speaks of his visions) I saw in the night visions, and behold, one like the Son of man (Jesus) came with the clouds, of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

Daniel 7:13 -14 -

(v 13-14,18,27) Also please note v 13 , where Jesus is brought to meet the Ancient of days (God Almighty) Dake’s pg. 1459 letters a ,b

And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that

all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom, that which shall not be destroyed.

Daniel 7:18 -

kingdom,

But the saints of the most high shall take the

And possess the kingdom , for ever, even for ever and ever.

Daniel 7:22 -

Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most high; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

Daniel 7:27 - And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven , shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

2Peter 1:11 -

God’s kingdom is a place of righteousness, it’s a place ,in my opinion, that is beyond our comprehension. This is why most people don’t go for it. They simply can’t buy into the fact of an invisible, all powerful , all knowing God. It’s foolishness to some people.

For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

1 Cor. 1:18 - For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness : but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.1 Cor. 1:21 - For after that in the wisdom of God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. Not only do I think about God’s kingdom, I most certainly want it to come. Then there will be truth , righteousness , and a real one world government ……run by Jesus himself, and anyone who objects will be dealt with by means of a rod of iron.

Revelation 2:27 - And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my father.

Revelation 19:11-15 - And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

And he clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Speaking of Jesus, let’s take a look at what he had to say about the kingdom of God.

Matthew 4:17 -

Matthew 5:3 -

Matthew 5:10 -

Matthew 5:19-20 -

For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Whosoever therefore shall brake one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them , the same shall be called great in the kingdom heaven.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

From that time Jesus began to preach and say, Repent: for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 6:33 - But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 7:21 -

Not every one that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doeth the will of my father which is in heaven.

Matthew 8:11- And I say unto you, that many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac , and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 10:7 -

Matthew 11:11-12 -

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.

Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.And as ye go preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 13:11 - He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven , but to them it is not given.

Matthew 13:24 -

Matthew 13:31 -

Matthew 13:33 -

Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.Another parable put forth unto them , saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field.Another parable put he forth unto them saying , the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field.

Matthew 13:38 - The field is the world the good seed are the children of the kingdom: but the tares are the children of the wicked one.

Matthew 13:43 -47

Again , the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath and buyeth the field.

And, again the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man , seeking goodly pearls: Who when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

Then the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father , who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew 13:52 -

Matthew 16:19 -

Matthew 16:28 -

Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his Kingdom. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on the earth shall be loosed in heaven. Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder , which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

Matthew 18:1-4 - At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus saying, who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto him , and set him in the midst of them, and said , Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

The following is a good example of how God will judge us, based upon how we judged others. This is quite an eye opener and we all would be wise to take heed of the message being presented.

Matthew 18:23-35 -

And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.

Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.

10,000 talents of gold - $290,850,000

10,000 talents of silver - $19,2000,000 refs. DK’s pg 35 letter q

But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.

Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.

But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, which owed him an hundred pence: 1 pence = 17cents

100 pence = $17 refs.Dks’ pg 35

And he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, pay me that thou owest.

And his fellow servant fell down at his feet, and besought him saying, Have patience with me , and I will pay thee all.

And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.

So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.

Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:

Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow servant, even as I had pity on thee?

And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.

So Likewise shall my heavenly father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

As I stated earlier, the above story teaches us how to forgive others, just as we have been forgiven. However there is another point worth taking notice, and that is how much money that first servant owed his master, compared to what his fellow servant owed him. There was a hugely significant difference, we‘re talking millions of dollars. And yet his master forgave him this large amount of money that was due…..canceled it out , closed the account , there were no payment options presented. And yet this servant wouldn’t give his co-worker a break concerning $17? Shame , shame , shame.

Matthew 19:12 - For there are some *eunuchs , which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

* eunuch - an emasculated man , usually one castrated before puberty. ref. Dakes bible page 36 (letter g)

Matthew 19:14 -

Matthew 19:23-24 -

St. Mark 4: 26-29

For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself, first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

- So is the kingdom of God , as if a man should cast seed into the ground: and should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, verily I say unto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you , it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.But Jesus said, Suffer (permit or allow and do not hinder) little children, and forbid them not , to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, verily I say unto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the of heaven. And again I say unto you , it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than a rich man to enter into the of God.

St. Mark 4:11 - And he said unto them , unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

?

St. Mark 4:30-32 -

It is like a grain of mustard seed, which when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: but when it is sown, it growth up, and becometh greater than all the herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.

And he said Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or , what comparison shall we compare it?

St. Mark 9:1 -

St. Mark 10:15 -

St. Luke 4:43 -

Revelation 11:15 -

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms, of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom , of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.Verily I say unto you , whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child , he shall not enter therein. And he said unto the , verily I say unto you, that there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
